A Footprint Day is a unique opportunity for visitors to become part of our exhibition. In a world where only celebrities can leave their hand and footprint, it’s important to give everyone such a chance. All people can make a positive change after all. Therefore, the local soil that has been used for the installation is intended to be transformed into real human footprints until the end of the Biennale. Michael Braungart will be present during the Footprint Days and you are welcome to leave your personal footprint behind!

28 October 2016 (1 pm – 5 pm)
29 October 2016 (10 am – 2 pm)
During the last Footprint Days of the exhibition period, Michael Braungart, colleagues from EPEA and partners from the Cradle to Cradle community will be pleased to see you there. Also this time, there are two interesting additional events planned.

Meetings on Architecture – Environment
The Meetings on Architecture are back for the 15th International Architecture Exhibition of La Biennale di Venezia. This program of events on specific themes and case studies involving the architects and participants of Reporting From the Front curated by Alejandro Aravena. These Meetings will be a way to get from the authors themselves the richness and complexity of the built environment, and what it takes to get things done. EPEA’s CEO Michael Braungart together with Batlle i Roig Arquitectes, Hugon Kowalski and Transsolar are invited to highlight environmental issues in the built environment.

29 October | 3 pm – 5 pm | Teatro alle Tese – Arsenale

Matinée – Talks on Cradle to Cradle
The particular perspective of reporting from a specific “frontline” needs fuller explanation in order to be properly understood. An exhibition is not enough to communicate a comprehensive concept in a detailed way. Besides, it is more fun to hear the personal stories about the practical realization, innovative developments and upcoming challenges. An 18-meter-long table in the Austrian Pavilion will be the setting of the matinée. Here, Michael Braungart and others will tell their story and answer questions from visitors. You are invited to join this informal event (with perfect air quality): as if you are sitting at your kitchen table, but a bit different.

30 October | 11 am – 1 pm | Austrian Pavilion – Giardini
